Challenges faced by referees (Bryan - Blue House)

Even though being a referee may seem pretty easy to you, there are actually many difficulties faced by them.

- When we blow the whistle, no one listens and even when we blow loudly, no one still responds
- It is difficult to see what is happening since everyone is running everywhere and we have to concentrate on everyone
- At first, I was not very sure of the consequence of the fouls. When someone went for more than 3 steps, I thought it was that the person was to be out of the field until a score is made

I hope that everyone reads this in case you are the referee for the next lesson and take my experiences  into consideration.

Problems faced by Referee (Sandeep)

These were some of the problems I faced:

1) The players did not immediately stop their game when I blew the whistle.
2) The game is very hard to monitor because it is very fast paced.
3) I kept missing out some mistakes which the player made.

Video of my Javelin

The javelin could have been facing more upwards and I did not outstretch my hands.

Saturday, 16 March 2013

My Video (Javelin)

REFLECTION:  I could have tilted my body backa bit more for more force and increase my throw distance.

My video 15/3/13 (Hurdles)

My reflection:

I could have jumped higher and set off properly in order to stabilize my landing.

My Video 15/3/13 [Shotput]

My Reflection:
I held the shot with the four fingers and the thumb and it was not resting on my palm. I did not hold the shot against my neck. There was not a lot of support then. My elbow of the hand holding the shot is up and the upper arm is parallel to the ground. The shot is pushed out at the forehead level. My fingers were pointing to the side at the end of the release of the shot.

What I have learnt in the lesson

What I have learnt is we must be alert, be quick and most important of all, be truthful as some people were caught when they did not realise they were suppose to run but I also agree that it was quite messy. Therefore, next time we must be alert and everyone should coordinate.

Homework: 28.jan.13

I learnt that teamwork and cooperation is important for many things. We should also be able to communicate with each other for better cooperations.

What I learned from today's S&W lesson

I learned that everyone needs to be coordinated in order for us to be able to carry out an activity or do something
