  1. The person is supposed to push the shot put and not fling it like basketball.Momentum is essential as It gives more force when you push it.Techniques are also important as it may affect your momentum and distance of the shot put sent. Both of these combined can be very powerful when carried out

  2. The person is not supposed to hold the ball on his palm but on his base of his fingers. He is also supposed to push the shot put and not throw it.

  3. The person has to push the shot put .Techniques such as 'the glide' can help the person gain some momentum before he can throw the shot put.The more the momentum before the throw, the greater the distance the shot put is sent.

  4. While holding the shot-put on the palm, we must do 'the glide' to gain momentum. After that, we must hold it on the base of the fingers beside the neck while the shot-put is facing the sky. Finally we must push it and not throw it. The higher the momentum, the further the shot-put will go.

  5. The correct technique is to hold the shot put close to your neck and your elbow must not be facing the front. If you are using your right hand to throw the shot put, your left leg must be in front. When you throw the shot put, push your hand forward as hard as you can. Also must take not that we cannot throw the shot put like how we throw a basketball, or else the shot put will not go very far.
